The Writing Center


The Writing Center is available to all Claremont School of Theology and Claremont Lincoln University students. If you have any questions about any stage of your writing process, want help overcoming writer's block or interpreting an assignment, or if you just want someone to tell you that what you have written makes sense (or not), feel free to make an appointment online (click the graphic below). Francisco García, Beau Harris, and Stephanie Varnon-Hughes are the Peer Writing Tutors for the 2012-2013 academic year. If you would like help from the Writing Center, you can make an appointment by clicking on the icon above. Alternatively, you may make an appointment by phone (909-447-2539) or email (writingcenter@cst.edu). You may also drop by the Writing Center when it is open, and we will help you if we are not already booked.

*If you make an appointment, please show up. If you need to cancel, please do so 24 hours in advance in order to make that appointment time available for another student. We look forward to seeing you in the Writing Center!


Tutoring by Telephone

The Writing Center is offers writing tutoring by telephone for those who are unable to come in person. Just click on the "Make an Appointment" link above. When you click on an appointment time, check the box in the pop-up box that says: "Check the box if you will call in for a teleconference" and email your paper to writingcenter@cst.edu before your appointment begins.

Note: You need to submit your paper early in the morning before your appointment, so that we can print your paper and be ready to discuss it. Also, please have a copy of your paper and a pen in hand when you call the writing center at (909) 447-2539 for your teleconference. We hope this new service makes the Writing Center more available to commuter students and others who can’t come in person.
