I noticed the registration deadline is January 31, even though the first class meets on January 19 and 20. Can I miss the first class weekend and still register for the course?
No. You must attend the first class weekend if you plan to register for the class - even if you register between January 19-January 30.
What kind of background do I need to take this couse?
You need at least a college degree. It doesn’t matter what field.
If I don't want to get a degree and just want to take this class, what do I do?
You would be considered a student in Claremont Extension. You fill out the form here. You can take the class for $300. If you want Continuing Education Units (CEUs), you pay $325.
If I am interested in a Certificate Program, how do I start?
You would be considered a student in Claremont Extension. You fill out the form here. You can take the class for $1000.
If I want to receive graduate academic credit for the class, what do I do?
You fill out the form here. You can then transfer this credit into a degree program at Claremont. You pay $1000.
If I want to enroll in a M.A. or M.Div. degree, can I start with this class?
Yes. Begin by filling out this form on the website. There is more information about degree programs here. The class will cost $1000.
How many credits do I receive for this class?
Three credits at the masters level (LIS3015), or four credits at the doctoral level (LIS4015)
If I am not getting a certificate or a degree, am I still expected to do the work in the class?
Yes.
How do I pay for this class?
You will receive a bill from the school.
