DO YOU BELONG AT CLAREMONT?
As you probably know, Claremont School of Theology is one of the
most ethnically and religiously diverse theological schools in the
United States. But the diversity stretches far beyond racial/ethnic
categories. Claremont is a rich community of individuals with multiple
overlapping religious, national, intellectual, professional, vocational,
generational, sexual, political and ideological orientations that
make this a unique community of learners.
So at Claremont, we often use a peculiar word: "Multiversity."
The term "diversity" assumes a black-and-white dichotomy.
But "multiversity" connotes a more complex and nuanced understaning
of reality, our world, and ourselves. That is why we need you to contribute
your unique perspective to our community. That's why You are Claremont.
