On Tuesday, September 16th, Claremont School of Theology marked the beginning of a new academic year with a service of Convocation held in Mudd Theater.

President Kah-Jin Jeffrey Kuan welcomed those assembled for the service and introduced the featured speaker - Bishop Minerva Carcaño, Bishop of the California-Pacific Conference of the United Methodist Church. In addition to welcoming new and returning students, The Rev. Dr. Sheryl Kujawa-Holbrook, Vice-President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Faculty, presented the Bishop Golden Award and the Fisher Award scholarships to students who have demonstrated promise in their studies and future work.
