African Delegates Praise Claremont’s New Model
Some United Methodists were skeptical when Claremont School of Theology first announced its plans to co-found the multi-faith Claremont Lincoln University. However, Claremont recently found it had stalwart allies from the African delegations at the UMC General Conference.

2012 Commencement
The 2012 commencement ceremony will be on Tuesday, May 15 at 8:30am at Kresge Chapel Lawn on the CST Campus.

Claremont to Offer Korean Language Courses
Beginning in Fall 2012, Disciples Seminary Foundation (DSF) and Claremont School of Theology (CST) will offer Korean language courses for bilingual ministerial education. The goal is to have a bilingual (Korean/English) M.Div. program beginning in 2013, with a majority of courses taught in Korean language.

CST to Honor National Figures at Commencement
Bill McKibben, renowned climate change activist and author will be the 2012 Commencement Speaker and will be awarded an honorary doctorate. Sharon Watson Fluker will also be awarded an honorary doctorate for her accomplishments in mentoring and securing fellowships for theological doctoral students from diverse backgrounds.
