Claremont School of Theology to Host Association of Theological Schools Accreditation Site Visit, April 7-10, 2014
Claremont School of Theology (CST) will host a site visit by representatives of the Association of Theological Schools (ATS) on April 7 – 10, 2014. This site visit constitutes an important element in the process of CST’s reaffirmation for accreditation.
CST achieved its initial ATS accreditation in 1944, when the theological school was known as the University of Southern California’s School of Religion. CST has maintained this accreditation over time, and undergoes a process of reaffirmation overseen by ATS once every ten years. This process involves an extended period of self-evaluation that culminates in an on-site evaluation. Information about the ATS standards and accreditation process can be found on its website (www.ats.edu). Claremont School of Theology is also fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
Invitation for Feedback
Faculty, staff, students, and alumni/ae are welcome and invited to participate in the review process by providing feedback on the institution’s qualifications for accreditation. Those who wish to participate are encouraged to submit written comments to President Kah-Jin Jeffrey Kuan. Comments may be delivered in hard copy to the Office of the President or they can be submitted electronically to email@example.com. All comments will be made available to the evaluation team.
