In The Great Divorce, legendary author C.S. Lewis employs his formidable talent for fable and allegory. In this provocative imaginary tale, a Traveler boards a bus on a drizzly afternoon and embarks upon an incredible voyage of discovery about Heaven and Hell. Along the way she meets a host of extraordinary characters and comes to significant realizations about the ultimate consequences of everyday behavior. Perhaps more than any other work by Lewis, The Great Divorce leads its audience on a journey of self discovery and reflection. This stage adaptation of the book, undertaken by the brilliant minds at Lamb’s Players Theatre in San Diego, and performed by both community members and CST students, is sure to leave you moved by its powerful and profound interaction with the spiritual world.
