1) What is your degree program at CST? Where did you do your degree before CST? In what?

I’m an M.Div. student.  Before that, I got my undergraduate at UGA in Social Science Education and my first degree in Higher Education Administration at Appalachian State University… definitely a product of a Sotuhern education system!

2) Did you work before CST? Where? Doing what?

I worked as a Hall Director at the University of Arizona.  I was in charge of a residence hall of 300 first-year students (everything from football players to sorority girls!)

3) What has been the most valuable thing you have taken away so far from your program at CST?

It has been the foundational need for human beings to have community.  We are a small school; we have the responsibility to build community with each other.

4) If you could have your dream job after you graduate what would it be and why?

Flight attendant… I love to travel, and plus I think I look cute in those uniforms

5) Any advice for prospective students?

To cherish every moment you have here.  It may seem like you have just started and the road ahead seems too long and daunting, but never fear, it will be over before you know it.  Don’t take your time here for granted; if not, you will end up regretting what you wanted to do, but never get a chance to actually do it.

6) Share three things people don’t normally know about you.

1. I share the same birthday with former President George W. Bush.  2. I have a goal to visit the 50 largest cities in the United States.  3. I worked the concession stand at the 1996 Olympic Soccer Gold medal game.  The United States played China, and it was so exciting to see!

7) Describe your experience at CST in one word.

Celebratory

8) Most memorable moment so far at CST?

Seeing my classmates, faculty, and staff standing in attendance at my ordination.  What an achievement not only for me, but the school as well!

9) If there was a movie made of your life story, who would play you and why? What would the title of the movie be?

Living in Opposites (because my life has totally been the antithesis of who I should be, how I should act, etc).  Matthew McConaughy because of his southern accent and his appeal to draw huge crowds at the movie theaters.

10) And just for fun: If you were an animal what would you be and why?

A tiger – because they are regal, beautiful, and rare.
