Pulitzer-Winning Photographer Annie Wells' Path to Claremont
After receiving a Pulitzer for a photograph of a Firefighter rescuing a child from a flooded creek, Annie Wells decided to pursue her master's degree in divinity at Claremont School of Theology.
"The calling came to Annie, a breast cancer survivor, after she saw the difference a Catholic nun made to her sister as she was dying of the disease. And then she heard a public-radio story about the fulfillment a woman in Maine found as a law enforcement chaplain.
"Upon making her decision to become an Episcopal minister and serve as a chaplain, Annie said, “It felt like a puzzle piece fell into place.” She'll wrap up her first year of divinity school in May."
