Blais Account Management

With the creation of the CST Website, you now are empowered to manage your CST Library account. You can go to the Library catalog to search for books, renew currently checked out items, and even submit changes in contact information (name, address, phone, email). Simply follow the instruction guidelines below.

 

Instructions for Self-Renewal of Books from the CST Web Page

1. Getting to the Library Web page

The Claremont School of Theology web address is: www.cst.edu. Once there, you will need to navigate to the Library page: click on the Library tab, and a dropdown menu will appear; click on any of the selections. On the left hand side in the brown box marked "Quick Clicks", you may click on Blais Library Catalog. You may now begin searching the catalog for author, title, or subject. In order to manage your account you will need to log on.

 

2. Logging on

In the lightly shaded area to the left called "View My Library Account", you need to enter Your Last Name, and your ID Card Number. The "ID Card Number" for your C.S.T. Library account is the ten-digit barcode on the back of your CST Library Card or CST Student ID Card (it should read: 57-——). Note: If you have a student I.D. from one of the Claremont Colleges, the I.D. number from that card will not open your CST Library account. You must enter your CST Library number.

 

3. Manage your account

A) To Modify Personal Information

If your name, address, or email information has changed, you may click here. Enter the new information, and then click "Submit". The information will update.

B) Check Messages from the Library

If the Library is trying to communicate with you a special line will appear under the "Modify Personal Information" line. In italics font, a note will appear "Message from the Library", click on it to read the message.

C) Renew Some or All Items Checked Out

In the center of the screen is a line indicating the number of items currently checked out to you (i.e. 12 Items currently checked out). Click here and a listing of those items will appear. Items are listed in the order checked out, but may be sorted by due date. Simply click "Sort by due date".

To renew all items checked out, click "Renew all". This will renew everything, except items that have been held or recalled; "too soon to renew"; have reached the "maximum number of renewals"; listed as "missing" or "claims returned"; or if your card has expired or near expiring. View all the due dates to be clear.
 
To renew selected items, check the box to the left of each desired item and click "Renew selected items". Items will be renewed, except the same limitations listed above. View all the due dates to be clear.
 
D) Preferred Searches
 
With this option, you can save searches that you perform in the catalog. After you have logged into your account click "Search catalog". Enter a search (author, title, subject, etc.). After you get the results click "Save as a preferred search". You are now free to perform other searches. If you wish to refer to earlier searches, simply "Return to your record"; click "Preferred searches"; then "search" the one you wish to view.

You may remove any or all of these searches by the box in the left column: "Mark to remove", then click "Update list". The marked item(s) will be removed. To clear all searches, simply click the icon that says, "Clear all searches".

 

Note: At any time you may return to the catalog by clicking the "Search catalog" icon.

 

Be sure to Log off your account at the end of your session!
