Funding for student scholarships is one of the School's highest priorities for annual giving and endowment giving. Claremont School of Theology provides scholarship assistance to all students who demonstrate financial need. In addition. merit scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement and potential for ministry. More than two-thirds of our students receive scholarship assistance. We are committed to increasing scholarship assistance, in order to make it possible for excellent students to receive a quality theological education regardless of their financial resources.

Scholarships are funded either through annual giving or through endowment funds set up for that purpose. Currently an annual gift of $12,500 will provide a full-tuition scholarship for one student for one year. An endowed scholarship fund of $250,000 will provide sufficient income for a full-tuition scholarship for one student for many years to come. We welcome both kinds of giving — annual giving to the scholarship fund or to an endowed scholarship.
