Student Spotlight
Melissa Spence just started her second year at Claremont and is working to obtain her Masters of Divinity degree. After graduation she plans to pursue ordination in the United Methodist Church. She juggles her education with the demands of being a military wife and mother of young children. When asked why scholarship is important she replied, "It's an affirmation of my attendance at CST. Scholarship also allows me to focus on my studies instead of worrying about the bills. The last time my husband was deployed overseas, knowing that my education was paid for gave me one less thing to worry about."
The Claremont Fund
The Claremont Fund supports the annual and ongoing needs of our students and faculty at Claremont School of Theology. This fund is a primary source of support and provides the school with maximum flexibility to meet the most critical needs including:
- Providing financial support for our students
- Recruiting and retaining top-notch faculty
- Offering extracurricular programs to enhance the classroom experience
- Maintaining our library, classrooms, and facilities
- Developing a Distance Learning program to attract students not able to relocate to California
