Claremont Extension
The Claremont Extension includes all learning opportunities beyond degree programs. This includes graduate certificates in a variety of topics as well as courses, conferences, and special events designed for personal and professional enrichment.
Online Classes for Claremont Extension
Claremont Extension offers month-long online courses every fall and spring for professional and/or personal enrichment. These courses address specific topics for professional enrichment or current issues in religion and society.
Course of Study
In cooperation with the Division of Ordained Ministry of The United Methodist Church, Claremont School of Theology offers the Ministerial Course of Study each summer for certified candidates for ministry in The United Methodist Church who are unable to attend a school of theology full-time in order to earn the standard Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree.
Certificate programs
The Graduate Certificate is a non-degree program of study in either a broad introduction to theological and religious studies, or in a specific topic or field of study.
U.M. Lay Ministry Academy
The United Methodist Lay Ministry Academy is an innovative collaboration between seasoned ministers in the California-Pacific Annual Conference and the faculty of Claremont School of Theology. Its mission is to prepare participants to fulfill a wide variety of roles in local churches-often based on their professional experiences in other disciplines.
U.M. Center for Leadership Development
The Center for Leadership Development is a joint venture between the California-Pacific Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church and Claremont School of Theology to prepare United Methodist leaders in the Western Jurisdiction.
