Dr. Lee is an ordained Elder and Full Member of the California-Pacific Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. Born in Korea, he came to the USA at the age of 16. He received his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Arizona State University and is a licensed psychologist in the state of California. He previously taught pastoral theology, pastoral care and counseling at Yale University Divinity School and Wesley Theological Seminary. He served as President of the Society for Pastoral Theology, and provided the leadership for the American Association of Pastoral Counselors and the Association of Clinical Pastoral Education to develop multicultural competencies standards.
Dr. Lee also serves as Executive Director of The Clinebell Institute and Director of the Practical Theology Doctor of Ministry program.
