Dean Susan L. Nelson to Give 2007 Fall Convocation Address

Dean Susan L. Nelson will deliver the keynote for the 2007 Fall Convocation at 11:15 a.m. in Kresge Chapel. A community meal will be served free of charge following the ceremony.

This year's Fall Convocation is part of the celebration to honor the School's first 50 years in Claremont. Dean Nelson's lecture is entitled, "Looking Forward: The Next 50 Years at Claremont."

Dean Nelson was named Vice President of Academic Affairs and Dean at Claremont School of Theology in the summer of 2006. Since the early 1980s, she served on the faculty at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, where she was professor of theology and culture. She received her Ph.D. in Religion from Claremont Graduate School, where she studied feminist theology under John B. Cobb, Jr.

The Claremont community, as well as graduates and guests, are encouraged to attend this important event in the life of the CST community.
