The Black Film Festival is a showcase for films that celebrate the African-American spirit. It is sponsored by the Pan-African Seminarians Association at Claremont School of Theology.

Showing this February:

February 2: Sparkle
A film about three sisters from Harlem who become singers. One becomes involved with drugs and another becomes famous.

February 9: Imitation of Life (1959 version)
A story set in the 1940's about two mothers, two daughters, and their friendships across the years. Problems begin when one - a black woman tries to pass as a white woman.

February 16: Second Chance
A film about two men - one from a white church in the well-to-do suburbs and one from a black church in the inner-city projects.

February 23: Ray
The life and career of the legendary popular music pianist, Ray Charles.
